what is craft

Craft is actually a number of separate skills. You could have several Craft skills, each with its own ranks, each as a separate skill.

A Craft skill is specifically focused on creating something. If nothing is created by the endeavor, it probably falls under the heading of a Profession skill.

Let children paint. Put them where they will cause the least damage, spread newspaper on the floor, drape them in old shirts and stick around to check that they don't tramp paint about the place - but don't stop them.

The discipline that needs to be developed is that of organizing.......... the rest of your surrounding knowledge, work to make its evolving nature more visible. The tools make that more manageable.  All that remains is for you to believe that it's worth doing.

Embroidery Basics

Embroidery
Try all these basic stitches; in fact make a sampler of them, using heavy dark material, linen is best, and white or golden yellow embroidery thread.
Stem Stitch:  This stitch is worked from left to right. Bring needle up through fabric to right side on the line to be outlined. Holding the thread toward you as shown , take a short slanting back stitch along stamped line. Make the next and each successive stitch from right to left and bring the needle out to the left at the end of previous stitch. Repeat along Line, keeping stitches small and uniform.

Whipped Stem Stitch: Outline design in stem stitch; then, in contrasting thread, whipstitch over the stem stitch.

This is the reason why I decided to help you all with my knowledge of  craft and innovation. I have listed a few free patterns , types of stitches and  a general idea about recycling waste.
